Just as all patients differ, so does proper treatment of every individual’s skin. Skin of color will react differently to cosmetic and medical treatments than Caucasian skin, and it is important to know the dermatologist is skilled at treating all skin types, is aware of sensitivities to discoloration and scarring and does not exacerbate any pigmentary disorder through misdiagnoses.
